How to do it
- With the bar anchored in a corner or landmine, hold its end at shoulder height, standing or half-kneeling.
- Press the bar up and forward until your arm is straight.
- Lower under control back to your shoulder.
Common mistakes
- Arching your lower back to press.
- Twisting your torso to help.
Tips
- The diagonal path is often better tolerated than pressing straight overhead.
- Squeeze glutes and abs to keep your torso still.
