How to do it
- With the vest on, take a long step forward.
- Lower until your back knee almost touches the floor.
- Drive back through the front heel and switch legs.
Common mistakes
- Taking a short step and hammering the front knee.
- Leaning the torso forward because of the vest.
Tips
- Load on the torso sits over your centre of gravity: it balances better than dumbbells.
- Alternate legs so the set doesn't turn into an endurance drill.
