How to do it
- Stand side-on to the box and place the near foot on top.
- Drive up with that leg until you're standing on the box.
- Step down on the same side under control; switch sides at the end.
Common mistakes
- Leaning your torso toward the box to make it easier.
- Letting the knee cave inward as you rise.
Tips
- Works the glute medius, which squats barely touch.
- Start with a low step and add height once it stops wobbling.
