How to do it
- Stand on one leg with a slight knee bend and your torso leaning a little forward.
- Jump sideways to the opposite side by pushing off the standing leg.
- Land on the other leg, absorb by sending your hips back and hold for a moment before jumping back.
Common mistakes
- Letting the knee cave inward on landing.
- Jumping so far that you cannot control the landing.
Tips
- Master short distances with a pause first; then add distance and rhythm.
- Very useful for sports with changes of direction: football, padel, basketball or skiing.
