How to do it

  1. Rest the bar on the front delts with the elbows high.
  2. Lower the hips keeping the torso as vertical as possible.
  3. Drive up through the heels to extension.

Common mistakes

  • Dropping the elbows (the bar rolls forward).
  • Rounding the upper back.

Tips

  • Keep the elbows high throughout.
  • More quad- and core-demanding than the back squat.
