How to do it
- Loop a strong band behind your knees and anchor it to a sturdy post at knee height.
- Step back until the band is taut and sit down with vertical shins and an upright torso.
- Stand up by pushing the floor, without letting your knees travel forward.
Common mistakes
- Letting the band slide down to your calves.
- Leaning your torso forward.
Tips
- With vertical shins it's usually well tolerated by sore knees.
- Holding the bottom for 30-45 s works too.
