How to do it
- Stand inside the bar with feet hip-width apart and grab the handles.
- With a neutral back and chest up, push the floor away until you stand tall.
- Lower under control, hips back and knees bent.
Common mistakes
- Rounding your back off the floor.
- Straightening your knees before your hips.
Tips
- It usually loads the lower back less than a straight-bar deadlift.
- Use the high handles if you lack mobility.
