How to do it

  1. Attach a parallel-grip handle and lock your thighs under the pads.
  2. Pull to your upper chest, chest up and elbows driving down.
  3. Return under control until your arms are fully straight.

Common mistakes

  • Leaning far back and turning it into a row.
  • Letting the weight fly up without controlling the eccentric.

Tips

  • A neutral grip is usually the kindest on shoulders and elbows.
  • Pull your shoulders down before bending your elbows.
