Muscles worked

Primary:
Quads
Secondary:
Glutes, Calves

How to do it

  1. Load the sled and hold the poles with arms straight and torso leaning forward.
  2. Drive forward with short, powerful steps on the balls of your feet.
  3. Cover the set distance or time keeping the lean.

Common mistakes

  • Standing up and breaking the body line.
  • Long strides that stall the sled.

Tips

  • Lots of leg work with no eccentric phase: it barely causes soreness.
  • Useful conditioning on lighter leg days.
