How to do it
- Lie on your back with the hands under the glutes.
- Raise the straight legs to vertical.
- Lower under control without touching the floor.
Common mistakes
- Arching the lower back on the way down.
- Using momentum to lift.
Tips
- Only lower as far as you keep the lower back flat.
- Keep the legs straight or barely bent.
- If you feel it in your lower back, switch to the reverse crunch (knees bent).
