How to do it
- Standing with feet together, take a wide step to one side.
- Bend that knee and push your hips back, keeping the other leg straight.
- Push through the bent leg to return to the centre.
Common mistakes
- Letting your knee cave in.
- Lifting the heel of the working leg.
Tips
- Also trains the adductors, which most exercises miss.
- Hold a dumbbell or kettlebell at your chest once it's easy.
