Single-leg box jump
- Advanced
- Box or step
- Unilateral
Soft, stable landing; step down
Muscles worked
- Primary:
- Quads
- Secondary:
- Core, Glutes
How to do it
- Stand on one leg facing a low box.
- Jump off that leg and land on the box with the same foot, knee slightly bent.
- Step down and repeat; switch legs at the end of the set.
Common mistakes
- Using a tall box — control matters here, not height.
- Letting the knee cave inward on landing.
Tips
- Fixes left/right imbalances better than almost anything.
- If the landing is loud, the box is too high.
