How to do it

  1. Facing a wall, put one foot a hand-width from it in a half-lunge.
  2. Drive the knee towards the wall without lifting your heel.
  3. Come back and repeat; move the foot further away if it's easy.

Common mistakes

  • Lifting the heel to reach the wall.
  • Letting the knee cave in.

Tips

  • Improves squat depth.
  • Compare both sides: one is usually stiffer.
